N A I A D A · ni-ah-dah

A naiad was a water nymph in Greek myth, belonging to one particular spring, pool or stream.

Technically, she had absolutely no business at the Atlantic.

Neither did I, really.

We both stayed.

01

I’m Alexa. I trained as a sound therapist in the UK and now live and work beside the Atlantic in Tamraght, Morocco.

NAIADA is where that work lives: crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, gong and shamanic instruments carried between gatherings, private sessions and retreats along the coast.

WHAT THE WORK IS

NAIADA is grounded, gentle, and very human. Nothing flashy. Nothing performative.

An hour or so of sound, built slowly.

Crystal bowls. Himalayan bowls. Gong. Shamanic instruments. Silence.

There is nothing to perform, understand or get right.

You lie down.
You listen.
The rest is allowed to remain unexplained.

03

I remember my first sound bath more clearly than I expected to.

At the time, I was struggling with depression and anxiety. I wasn’t looking for a new career or a spiritual revelation. I just went because something about it sounded like it might help me stop thinking for an hour.

I lay down.

The bowls started.

And somewhere in the middle of it, I realised I had stopped waiting for the hour to be over.

That was unusual for me then.

I came out feeling quieter, curious, and wanting to understand why.

I wanted to understand why an hour of listening had affected me so deeply, and eventually that question became training, then practice, then work.

NAIADA grew from there.

For the people passing through.

For the people who came for a week and found themselves looking at long-term rentals.

For retreats, hotels, surf houses and studios looking to offer something beyond the expected, NAIADA brings carefully held sound gatherings into the existing rhythm of a stay.

Each session is shaped around the setting, the group and the time available.
